As an individual you are entitled to claim 33.33 cents for every dollar donated to charities. A charity is one that is listed on the Charities Register.
A company may also make a donation to a registered charity and claim this as a deduction in the company’s income tax return.
In both cases, you can claim on donations that added up to the same amount or less than your taxable income during the tax year.
